Room 14 and Room 15 have been working together and have been doing lots of fun Design Challenges to help them practice the design process. Here they are in action.
Welcome to our blog. We are a group of dynamic Year 3 and 4 students at Upper Harbour who are passionate about school, learning and having fun. We would like you to share in our learning journey for 2017.

Problem Solving
We're great problem solvers in Room 15. This week we have been practising the strategy of using a table or chart to solve a problem. Here we are in action...
WALT: solve
problems using at least 2 strategies.
At the start of the year, Kerry had $12 in her
piggy banks, and Romi had $4 in his. Kerry saved $2 each month, starting from
January. Romi saved $3 each month, starting from January. In what month did
they have the same amount of money in their piggy banks?
Balloon Car Design Challenge
Room 14 and Room 15 worked together to complete a balloon car design challenge. We had to build a balloon-powered car that would travel one and a half metres!
Together we worked through the design process:
Ask - Imagine - Plan - Create - Improve - Present
